The Oden name carries generations of quiet, steady service. Joe Oden Sr. stood as a trusted neighbor in Jacksonville, Alabama, guiding others through hardship. His son, Joe Jr., carried that same spirit, teaching by example that real leadership means showing up when people are hurting. The Oden Group continues that line of care, offering veterans a place where their service is honored, their stories matter, and their future still holds real promise.
Integrity in our family never meant big speeches. It meant doing what is right when nobody is watching, and keeping your word when it costs you time, energy, or comfort. That same standard guides every decision about our veteran housing, from how rooms are prepared to how concerns are handled. Veterans, families, and partners can rely on clear expectations, honest communication, and follow-through that reflects genuine respect for those who served.
For the Oden family, compassion has always meant making room at the table for someone who is struggling. The Oden Group turns that belief into daily practice by creating a calm, furnished home where veterans can breathe, regroup, and rebuild. Housing, meals, and support services come together to reduce the weight on a veteran's shoulders. Community members and partners who join this work help extend that circle of care, strengthening every hero who walks through our doors.
Three generations of Odens treated service as a way of life, shaping how we now welcome veterans.
Our story begins with Joe Oden Sr., a steady presence neighbors trusted during their hardest seasons.
Those early lessons in integrity and compassion became the backbone of Tracy Oden's vision for veterans.
The Oden Group was formed to provide safe, furnished co-living that restores dignity and daily stability.
Every veteran welcomed into our home becomes part of this continuing legacy of service, hope, and community.
Owner & Manager
Tracy R. Oden founded The Oden Group LLC as a direct extension of the quiet strength learned from a father and grandfather who never turned away from people in need. Growing up, Tracy watched Joe Sr. and Joe Jr. answer late night calls, share what they had, and stand steady when others were struggling. That example shaped a simple promise, veterans deserve better than surviving day to day.
Today, Tracy carries that promise into every decision, from how a room is prepared to how a concern is resolved. Accountability, clear communication, and genuine care guide the work. Veterans, families, and partners meet a leader who listens, follows through, and treats every resident as a person with a future, not a case file.
